MIM-23 HAWK: Ukraine's New Air Defense System

The Improved HAWK System Deployed

The Ukrainian military has unveiled the first image of its newly operational MIM-23 Improved HAWK (I-HAWK) air defense system. The HAWK Homing All the Way Killer (MIM-23) is a medium-range, all-weather, ground-to-air missile system designed to engage multiple airborne threats.

Enhanced Defensive Capabilities

The MIM-23 HAWK system is equipped with a 54 kg (119 lb) high-explosive blast-fragmentation warhead with impact and radar proximity fuzes. It provides effective defense against aircraft, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The Raytheon RTX-03 MIM-23 Hawk system is a medium-range mobile air defense system designed to engage multiple airborne threats. Its advanced capabilities enhance Ukraine's ability to protect its airspace and strengthen its defensive posture.
