Early Life and Education
Karan Johar was born on May 25, 1972, in Mumbai, India.
His father, Yash Johar, was a film producer, and his mother, Hiroo Johar, was a film producer and costume designer.
Johar attended Green Lawns High School in Mumbai and later studied at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics.
Career in Film
Johar started his career in the film industry as an assistant director to Aditya Chopra on the film "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995).
